REGIME OVERFLOW

Julián Barón explores and asks incessantly about the place of the image in the current of impermanence that characterizes the present. Nothing can ensure the survival of an image in any social context, and it is easy to understand how oblivion manages to swallow it without problems; For there to be resistance, the social fabric must be crossed, impregnated with knowledge and culture of solidarity. The most frequent observation is that of an absence of memory to a greater or lesser degree for any society observed carefully. Baron is an artist who works from the practice of photography and also from reading the image in whatever form. It moves along a fracture line-a profound Discontinuity made of discrepancies between experience and remembered personally-, and the collective memory traumatized defining the substrate from the hidden becomes the missing key for drilling and decentering normalized as the state of things. The perception of the fracture generates a felt need to build a poetic and an ethics of memory in the field sown visualities is contemporary culture. In these movements, the artist proceeds to activate radical attitudes to process and intervene the image to multiply, unfold and distort their status. The photographed, the photocopied, the scanned, the audiovisual, the written and drawn on the wall are a possible repertoire of ways to expand the circulation of images, besides being restricted to negotiate and repose for the citizen space, the lost ground to the oblivion. The results of this negotiation not running but just a passing achieve balance; and for every moment spent in the intensity of the challenging transformation of established imaging laboratory, it is necessary to assume that there will always be to start again and again and again -a engage in rethinking to do. Along the way, Julian Baron leaves a liberating trail mark and remains in the minds of those who have been and are touched by his vision of the image as a clever way for a deflagration.
