Los últimos días de Franco vistos en TVE
Los primeros días del Rey vistos en TVE
In 1975, two books are published by the editorial of Radio Television Española (RTVE). The order to do it was received by the photographer Fernando Nuño, who from television images, he composed the two books: “Los últimos días de Franco vistos en TVE”( ‘’The last days of Franco watched on TVE’’ ) and “Los primeros días del Rey vistos en TVE” ( ‘’The first days of the King watched on TVE’’ ). Since the story telling by the television seem ephemeral, TVE decided to edit these two volumes. “That Spanish television is dedicated to inform, yes, but how the late Agustín García Calvo would say; it doesn’t stop being a mass formation media. The point is that the live streaming story doesn’t last and the responsables of the propaganda needs a sustain story, an official story”, analyze Horacio Fernández. To get that, Fernando Nuño photographs videos. “Los últimos días de Franco vistos en TVE” (‘’The last days of Franco watched on TVE’’) is unique in both forma and content, it’s a television photo book with second hand photos and strongly documental, even more than the old times reports. ‘’Reproduced from the video, the photos gives the sense of an alive document” written on the book, a visual story that complements with a second one, ‘’The first days seen by the king’’.
